The Blurb of the Book:

An industrialist's bullet-ridden dead body is found in the suite of a luxury hotel. A lady is found sitting in the adjoining suite, holding a glass of champagne in one hand and a gun in another, waiting for the police to come and arrest her. Did she really kill him? If yes, why? If not, whodunnit?

Review By TBC Reviewer

Gaining popularity as a short romance novelist, D.R Downer has done a pretty decent job in this short thriller, Whodunnit?

This is a story of two friends who are meeting after a long time but under unusual circumstances. From friends, to “could have been lovers” to adversaries, this short saga has many emotional twists and turns. When Inspector Shashank finds his old friend, Aparna, in a murder scene, all the clues point towards her. She herself confesses that she is the killer. Yet, everything is not as it seems. Is Aparna the real killer?

As in a short story, there is hardly a scope to grow along with your characters and as we always find, it was just too short a meeting to know them. But still, I would say a pretty decent job by the author in gathering enough sympathy for Aparna.

This story had many cinematic moments in such a small package. The whodunit moment was fabulous and made this book a page-turner. Both Anjali and Shashank have some characteristics which are very particular to them. I could almost hear the haughty tone of Anjali. Guessing who the killer was thankfully not too easy.

The five stars are for tying up all the endings in such a short story.
